Galway have appointed Éamonn Fitzmaurice as their new senior football manager on a three-year contract.
Fitzmaurice, who spent six years in charge of Kerry's first team, guided the county to an All-Ireland title in 2014 alongside six Munster championships and a National League campaign.
He previously won three All-Ireland titles with Fossa as a player before transitioning into management within his home county.
The appointment marks a change for Galway after seven seasons under the leadership of Padraic Joyce, who stepped down from the role.
As a Finuge clubman, Fitzmaurice led his native side to the Kerry premier junior title earlier this year and secured the 2022 All-Ireland junior club championship with Fossa.
That squad included Paudie Clifford and David Clifford during his tenure at the club level.
The 49-year-old is now tasked with leading Galway's senior side in their next campaign.
Information on this appointment was confirmed by BBC Sport Northern Ireland.
