Fire crews were dispatched to Shankill Road in Belfast following reports of a structure failing partially.

The collapse occurred adjacent to The Alexandra Florist Ltd, a family-run enterprise that has served the local community for many years.

The florist's premises are situated in a terrace building just two doors from the damaged property.

According to Ingram, no employees were present inside the shop at the time of the incident.

Once emergency personnel arrived, they assisted staff in removing bouquets of flowers from their business premises.

Access to the building remains restricted for safety reasons, preventing workers from returning to their workplace.

Consequently, the team is operating from home and managing new orders through telephone communications.

Ingram indicated that the business is awaiting confirmation regarding whether the remaining damaged structure will be demolished to ensure public safety.
