The fire service was summoned to a structure on Carlisle Parade in the New Lodge area at approximately 5.30pm on Monday August 31.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that four appliances arrived at the location.
Firefighters worked rapidly to prevent the flames from extending to adjacent buildings.
The blaze originated on an upper floor before spreading to neighbouring homes.
Visual evidence captured online depicts smoke rising from the rooftops of several properties in the vicinity.
Three individuals were treated for minor injuries following the incident.
A representative for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service later indicated that operations were concluding as two appliances had departed the site.
