Files released from the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland show there were concerns for the Northern Ireland economy following the September 11 terrorist attacks of 2001, when British Airways cancelled a regular flight between London and Belfast in the wake of 9/11, and with 30,000 fewer tourists expected to visit during 2002.
