Hamas delegation arrives in Cairo to negotiate next phase of ceasefire with Israel

A Hamas delegation has arrived in Cairo to resume talks on implementing the next phase of the ceasefire agreement with Israel, engaging with Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish mediators.

The delegation arrived in Cairo to resume negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire with Israel. It is expected to meet with Egyptian officials, Qatari and Turkish mediators, and representatives of other Palestinian groups.

The talks follow a meeting between senior Israeli and Egyptian military officers in Cairo earlier in July. Discussions included efforts to advance US President Donald Trump's Gaza reconstruction plans.

The IDF conducted strikes in Gaza on Sunday and Monday, killing several Hamas commanders. These included Nukhba commander Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam and head of the Hamas-run Palestinian internal security service, Wael El-Ledawi.
