The Confederation of African Football overturned the result of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final after Senegal players walked off the pitch during extra-time. The match had been level at 0–0 when Morocco were awarded a stoppage-time penalty.
Senegal's team left the field following a penalty decision that sparked protest from head coach Pape Thiaw. The players returned after a 17-minute delay, but the match was later declared forfeited.
Caf ruled that Senegal had infringed Article 82 by leaving the pitch without referee permission. As a result, Article 84 applied, leading to a 3–0 result in favour of Morocco. The Senegalese Football Federation announced plans to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
