Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has confirmed that a major active travel scheme is set to begin operations on Durham Street and College Square North.
The initiative, valued at £425,000, aims to transform existing road infrastructure into two-way protected cycle lanes within the Belfast Cycling Network framework.
This development will establish a direct link between the active travel enhancements finished as part of the Grand Central Station project and the area north of Belfast City Centre along College Street.
The Department for Infrastructure has scheduled the construction works and associated traffic management measures to ensure minimal disruption for commuters.
Road users are advised to adhere strictly to all temporary signage erected at the site and allow extra travel time during the transition period.
