A drone strike hit a tent in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, killing at least three Palestinians, including Hassan al-Hanagra, his 8-year-old grandson Malik Abu Shawish, and another man, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The strike occurred in a neighborhood described as one of the least damaged in central Gaza.
Malik Abu Shawish was visiting his mother’s tent at the time of the strike. His mother was among seven people wounded in the incident, as reported by hospital officials. The Palestinian Red Crescent and Nasser hospital confirmed the fatalities and noted that the wounded were transferred to a field hospital in Al-Mawasi.
Israel’s military stated the strike targeted a militant but did not name him or confirm his death. The Gaza Health Ministry, which is part of the Hamas-led government, reported a total of 73,058 Palestinians killed since the conflict began, including those killed since the ceasefire. The ministry does not provide a breakdown of civilians and militants.
