An Israeli drone strike killed a child in northern Gaza while the boy was returning to inspect his destroyed home. The incident occurred in an area where multiple families had been displaced by prior operations.
Muhand Jamal al-Najjar, aged 20, was shot dead near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis. Israeli forces opened fire on him during a separate incident in the southern part of the Strip.
Israeli fire also wounded three Palestinians in al-Mughraqa and al-Mawasi. The United Nations reported that only 260 of 18,500 urgently needed patients have been allowed to exit via Rafah since reopening.
