The Northern Ireland Executive received details from Omagh Enterprise Company Ltd concerning its intention to purchase the St Lucia Barracks location in Omagh for commercial development.
Nicholas O'Shiel and Marcus Isherwood, representing the company's board, presented a business plan focused on establishing an enterprise and innovation park within the former barracks grounds.
While the Department for Infrastructure retains ownership of part of the property, a Community Asset Transfer procedure is currently in progress to facilitate the handover required for private sector regeneration.
The meeting took place as ministers sought to understand the scope of the proposed project and its alignment with regional economic objectives.
