Dr Caoimhe Archibald, Economy Minister, has confirmed a £15 million commitment from Foyle Food Group to modernise its manufacturing operations in Omagh while enhancing training for staff.

The Northern Ireland Executive stated the capital will enable the introduction of new machinery and automated systems designed to increase output efficiency.

Upgrades are scheduled to cover processing, packaging and delivery stages for beef products, aiming to improve consistency and reduce energy use.

A key component involves the Foyle Futures programme, which will focus on cultivating leadership and technical expertise among employees.

The company plans to establish seven additional roles as part of this expansion project.

Partnership with the Department for the Economy has spanned three decades, supporting business growth across multiple sectors.

Media contacts remain available through the Executive Information Service during standard office hours and weekends.

Further details on the initiative can be obtained via the Department for the Economy Press Office.
