On 21 September 2026, Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald announced a financial package worth nearly £2million for The Boatyard Distillery.

The funding is intended to upgrade distillation infrastructure with new machinery and automation systems focused on sustainability.

This capital will enable the company to raise its yearly production volume from approximately 300,000 bottles to more than 1.6 million units annually.

Management indicated that reaching this scale is vital for meeting growing market demand without compromising quality standards.

The distillery operates out of Tully Bay Marina on the shores of Lough Erne, serving a customer base across Britain, Ireland and the United States.

International trade relations are being strengthened through collaborative efforts with partners in Canada, Japan and other regions.

Financial backing combines loan facilities administered by Whiterock Capital Partners with equity contributions from Co-Fund NI, overseen by Clarendon Fund Managers.

In addition to volume growth, the project will facilitate continued product innovation, including the V-52 spirit, a mid-strength offering already contributing to future revenue streams.

The organisation has cultivated a recognised premium brand status with significant global market presence.

This financial commitment is viewed as a critical step toward securing long-term competitiveness and fostering sustainable economic activity in the local area.

The company will also create three new jobs as part of the investment.

It has successfully established a premium brand with an impressive international footprint, and this project marks a major milestone in its growth journey.
