Oisin McConville has been retained as Wicklow senior football manager for the upcoming Sam Maguire series following their victory in the Tailteann Cup final.
This result secured the county's spot in the 2027 All-Ireland competition, ensuring McConville continues his tenure with the Leinster side.
The 50-year-old took charge before the 2023 season and oversaw Wicklow's ascent from Division Four to Division Three that year.
However, the team was relegated back down a tier in the following campaign before achieving promotion again this season.
McConville masterminded the dramatic Tailteann Cup final at Croke Park where Garden County rallied from 13 points behind to defeat Down by a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-21.
This performance marked his first inter-county managerial appointment, building on previous club roles including Crossmaglen, Seneschalstown and Inniskeen Grattans.
Before focusing on the county game, McConville aims to lift Wicklow out of Division Four after narrowly missing promotion in recent seasons.
The manager's decision to stay reflects confidence in the squad's ability to compete at a higher level immediately.
Wicklow will now look to establish themselves firmly in Division Three ahead of the next season's fixtures.
