Linfield claimed the first Big Two victory of the NIFL Premiership season as Darragh Leahy and Kirk Millar struck in a 2-1 win over Glentoran at Windsor Park.

Leahy opened the scoring in the 18th minute before Millar doubled the Blues' advantage after 77 minutes. Jordan Stewart replied for Glentoran in the first minute of stoppage time, but the visitors' hopes of a late recovery ended when he was sent off a minute later.

Cliftonville also collected three points on the road, beating Bangor 3-0 at Clandeboye Park. Kyle McClelland gave the Reds a 17th-minute lead, a second arrived in first-half stoppage time and Liam McStravick completed the scoring in the 80th minute.

Crusaders came from behind to defeat Ballymena United 2-1 at Seaview. Igor Rutkowski put Ballymena in front after 10 minutes, but David Walsh's 28th-minute own goal drew the hosts level before Crusaders moved ahead three minutes before the interval.

Kris Lowe scored the only goal at Shamrock Park, striking in the 14th minute as Dungannon Swifts beat Portadown 1-0 to secure their first points of the campaign.

Carrick Rangers maintained their winning start with a 2-1 victory at Limavady United. Paul Heatley and Aidan Steele scored four minutes apart before half-time, while Alfie Gaston reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute during Limavady's first home Premiership fixture since returning to the top flight.

The day's only draw came at the Showgrounds, where Coleraine and Larne finished 0-0 after neither side found a breakthrough.
