Rachel McLaren's sensational long-range strike supplied Friday night's outstanding moment as Linfield Women held off Derry City Women to win 2-1 at the Brandywell.
McLaren found the top corner from distance in the 27th minute before Grace McKimm doubled Linfield's advantage six minutes after the restart. Chelsea Scott responded for Derry three minutes later, but the Blues protected their one-goal lead through to the final whistle.
Glentoran Women produced the night's biggest victory, beating Larne Women 7-1 after establishing a five-goal lead inside the opening half-hour. Aimee Kerr opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by Naomi McLaughlin, Mia Moore and Emily Wilson before Demi Vance converted the first of her two penalties.
Vance added her second from the spot in the 56th minute and McLaughlin completed her own double four minutes from time. Chloe Tully scored Larne's reply in stoppage time.
Caitlin McGuinness was another player to score twice as Cliftonville Ladies defeated Lisburn Rangers 3-0. Teegan Lynch struck in the seventh minute and McGuinness added goals in the 27th and 61st minutes to complete the away win.
Crusaders Strikers and Lisburn Ladies shared the points in a 1-1 draw at Seaview. Stacey Murdough put Lisburn ahead nine minutes after half-time before Rebecca Mann brought Crusaders level in the 72nd minute.
