Hannah Scott and Finnola Stratton have qualified for the women's quad sculls final at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam.

The Great Britain boat of Scott, Stratton, Imogen Grant and Lola Anderson placed second behind the Netherlands during Thursday's semi-final race on the Bosbann.

Scott has never failed to reach a world championship final since her senior debut for Great Britain.

Throughout her career, she has been part of major events, winning a world title in 2023 and Olympic gold in Paris the following year.

At last year's World Championships, Scott took silver after finishing behind the Dutch team but remains determined to avoid that outcome again.

To succeed in Saturday's final, the quartet must improve their start times compared to previous performances.

Scott expressed hope that the crew can find another gear to secure victory.

The competition continues with the final scheduled for Saturday.
