Tadej Pogacar has won stage 14 of the Tour de France, taking victory at Le Markstein Fellering after a mountainous day in the Vosges.
The Tour’s official stage report recorded Pogacar winning alone at the front on 18 July, with the yellow jersey on his back. The stage ran 155.3 kilometres from Mulhouse to Le Markstein Fellering and included four major climbs with 3,800 metres of elevation gain.
Isaac del Toro finished second on the day, giving UAE Emirates XRG the first two places on the stage. Paul Seixas of Decathlon CMA CGM completed the top three and moved up one place in the overall standings, overtaking Juan Ayuso and taking the white jersey as leader of the young riders’ classification.
The victory was Pogacar’s fourth stage success of the 2026 Tour. It also took him to 25 Tour de France stage wins across seven appearances in the race, drawing him level with Andre Leducq on that total. The Tour listed only Mark Cavendish, Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault ahead of that mark.
The stage finish at Le Markstein came three years after Pogacar had also won there. This time, the official race account placed the UAE Emirates XRG leader at the front of the general contest as well as the stage result, with the maillot jaune already on his shoulders.
The day’s route brought the race into the Vosges after the previous contact with the region around the Ballon d’Alsace. By the finish, Pogacar had converted the mountain stage into another stage win and extended his place in the Tour’s record of leading riders.
