Rory Grugan has confirmed he is retiring from inter-county football following a successful spell with Armagh.

The former All-Ireland Minor winner made his championship debut for the county in 2013, securing a qualifier victory against Wicklow.

During that initial campaign, Grugan went on to feature in 157 matches across multiple competitions.

He was instrumental in Armagh's historic 2009 Tom Markham Cup triumph when they defeated Mayo to claim their first All-Ireland Minor title in six decades.

That same year, he shared the credit with James Morgan, who also played a crucial role in lifting the trophy.

The Crossmaglen defender recently contributed to the county's first Ulster Senior Football Championship victory in eighteen years.

He came off the bench to help secure an extra-time win over Monaghan at Clones this past season.
