TJ Reid has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling after representing Kilkenny for many years.

The seven-time All-Ireland winner joined the senior panel in 2007 before securing a record of 14 Leinster senior titles.

During his tenure, Reid also won five National Hurling League medals and was awarded seven All-Star honours.

His departure marks the conclusion of a significant chapter for both himself and the club he served.

The announcement comes as the National Hurling League continues to operate under its current structure.

Reid's decision follows extensive consideration regarding his future in the sport.

No further details were provided regarding his immediate plans or post-retirement activities.

Kilkenny will now look forward to developing new talent for their senior squad.
