Cliftonville Ladies have secured the Women's Premiership title after a 6-0 victory over Glentoran Women at Solitude confirmed their second championship in three seasons.
Danielle Maxwell shaped the contest from the opening stages. Her delivery allowed Kirsty McGuinness to head the Reds in front after 20 minutes, and another Maxwell pass created the second goal for Caitlin McGuinness six minutes later.
Maxwell added the third herself before the interval, winning possession and finishing low beyond Ashleigh McKinnon. Kirsty McGuinness made it four during first-half stoppage time, leaving Cliftonville with a commanding lead at the break and the title within reach.
Marissa Callaghan converted a penalty shortly before the hour, and substitute Katie Markey completed the scoring in added time after reacting to a shot that came back from the post. Glentoran were unable to interrupt the momentum of a Cliftonville performance built on pressure, movement and clinical finishing.
The result settles a campaign in which the Belfast rivals again occupied the centre of the title race. Cliftonville's ability to produce their most emphatic display in the decisive meeting ensured the trophy returned to Solitude.
There are still fixtures to complete, but the championship itself is decided. For Maxwell, the afternoon combined a goal with two direct attacking contributions; for the wider Cliftonville side, it delivered the outcome their season had been building towards.
