Glentoran Women are the 2025 Women's Premiership champions after a 1-0 victory over Cliftonville Ladies settled the title on the final day at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The Glens began the match two points ahead of the outgoing champions, meaning a draw would have been enough. Instead, Kim Turner's side secured the win through the only goal of a closely contested meeting between the league's leading teams.
The decisive moment arrived after 66 minutes. Demi Vance delivered a corner from the right towards the far post, where Nadene Caldwell directed a header goalwards. Cliftonville defender Victoria Carleton attempted to intervene but the ball was diverted into the net for an own goal.
Cliftonville had chances as they searched for the victory required to move above their opponents. Glentoran goalkeeper Ashleigh McKinnon and the defence resisted that pressure, protecting the narrow advantage through the closing stages.
The championship is Glentoran's 11th women's league title and their fourth in the past six seasons. It returns the trophy to east Belfast after Cliftonville's success in 2024 and confirms another campaign in which the two clubs carried the race to its final fixture.
Vance's set-piece delivery and Caldwell's presence in the area supplied the decisive action, but the outcome reflected a full season of results. Glentoran entered the last match in front and finished it with both the victory and the title.
