Thousands are expected to gather in Derry for the annual Halloween festival as it celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
The event, organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council, is described by officials as Europe's largest Halloween Festival.
The celebration traces its origins to the mid-1980s when it began as a modest gathering.
This year's programme draws heavily on folklore, mythology and the customs of Samhain, the ancient festival associated with Halloween's roots.
The main highlight is the Foyle The Carnival Parade scheduled for Wednesday evening at 19:00 GMT.
The procession will start from Strand Road before moving to Harbour Square roundabout.
It continues along the Foyle Embankment and returns via Queen's Quay as more than 600 community performers take part.
Floats, live music and street theatre are among the key features of the route.
