Framework sets out redesigned GCSE and A-level qualifications

Northern Ireland’s Department of Education has set out a framework for changes to CCEA GCSE, AS-level and A-level qualifications, including a new modular A-level model.

The Department of Education announced its framework for redesigned qualifications in March, setting out changes to assessment structures for CCEA GCSEs and A-levels.

The proposed A-level changes include a new modular model.

The framework covers CCEA GCSE, AS-level and A-level qualifications as part of the wider reform programme.
