The Gaelic Athletic Association has announced its 2026 All-Star football team, featuring eleven individuals who have never previously received the honour.

Eight different counties are represented in the squad, a record not seen since 2010.

Six members of the Mayo side that secured their first All-Ireland Senior Football Championship title in seventy-five years have been included in the official list.

Kerry forward David Clifford has been named for his seventh time, joining legendary figures Mikey Sheehy and Colm Cooper who hold eight selections each.

Pat Spillane remains the only player with nine awards, while Clifford's achievement places him just one selection behind the record holder.

Jason Foley and Shane Murphy from the Kingdom club have also earned inclusion in the team alongside Clifford.

Ronan Wallace, captain of Westmeath, was recognised for guiding his county to their first Leinster Senior Football Championship title in twenty-two years.

Dara McDonnell from Louth was selected at centre-back after starring in his county's campaign that reached the All-Ireland semi-finals.

Defenders Sam Callinan and Enda Hession were chosen alongside forwards Darragh Beirne and Kobe McDonald.

Jack Carney and Ryan O'Donoghue, both Footballer of the Year nominees, have also been selected for their performances this season.

Three players from Ulster counties feature in the squad: Armagh wing-back Jarly Og Burns, Tyrone midfielder Conn Kilpatrick, and Monaghan wing-forward Stephen O'Hanlon.
