A £750,000 resurfacing scheme is under way on the B4 at Ederney, with the route closed to through traffic from 9am until 5pm on weekdays while work is carried out. The Department for Infrastructure expects substantial completion by 28 August, subject to weather.
The project covers Market Street, Leatham Crescent and Edenamohill Road. It involves resurfacing approximately three kilometres of carriageway as well as minor drainage improvements along the affected B4 route.<br><br>Through traffic is being excluded during the daytime working hours on weekdays. The daily closure does not apply through the evening, when the roads are due to reopen. Residents and other local users will continue to have access during the scheme, although through journeys on the B4 are restricted between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.
The programme affects an estimated three kilometres of carriageway around Ederney. Motorists using Market Street, Leatham Crescent and Edenamohill Road during the remaining weeks of August should plan around the weekday daytime closure while the resurfacing and drainage work continues.
