Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has confirmed a £525,000 programme to resurface the C572 Aileach Road in Derry.
The project will treat 730 metres of carriageway with work beginning at the Aileach Road Roundabout.
Operations are set to start on Monday 28 September 2026.
Kimmins stated that upgrading the road network remains a priority for linking local businesses and residents.
Safety measures include temporary traffic restrictions designed to protect both drivers and construction staff.
The Department for Infrastructure has organised traffic management plans to reduce disruption while maintaining access where possible.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time due to expected delays in the area.
Weather conditions will influence the final completion date, with the project aiming to be finished by Friday 30 October 2026.
