A £175,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme is to begin on the B0080 Tattymoyle Road, Fintona, on Monday 27 July 2026.
Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins announced the works, which will extend for about 545 metres between the C660 Rahony Road junction and the C661 Moneygar Road junction.
The Department for Infrastructure said a road closure will be needed on the B0080 Tattymoyle Road from B107 Clabby Road to B122 Ecclesville Road to allow the scheme to be delivered safely.
A signed diversionary route will operate via B107 Clabby Road, A4 Edfield Way at Fivemiletown, B122 Murley Road, B122 Ecclesville Road, B80 Kiln Street and B80 Tattymoyle Road. The same route will apply in the opposite direction.
The department said work operations and traffic management arrangements had been programmed to minimise inconvenience. Local access has been accommodated, but road users have been advised to expect some delays and allow extra time when travelling near the works.
Ms Kimmins said the investment on the Fintona to Tempo route would benefit residents and road users, and said rural roads were important for connecting businesses and communities.
Subject to favourable weather conditions, the resurfacing works are expected to be substantially complete by Saturday 1 August 2026. The department said it would keep the public informed of any changes.
